Roy Lopez had a standout college career as a defensive tackle at Arizona, where he became known for his relentless motor and disruptive play. Over his two seasons with the Wildcats, Lopez anchored the defensive line, showcasing his ability to clog running lanes and pressure quarterbacks. His strong performances earned him recognition as one of the top defensive prospects in the Pac-12, setting the stage for his successful transition to the NFL.

Known for his hard-hitting style and exceptional leadership on the field, Evans became one of the team’s most impactful defenders. His athleticism and football IQ earned him numerous accolades, including All-Pac-10 honors. Evans’ tenacity and playmaking ability helped elevate the Arizona defense during his time, and he remains a celebrated figure in the program’s history.

Our women's tennis team participated in the Wildcat Invite at home this last month and teased at what's to come in the spring!

MEN'S TENNIS
2 student-athletes from the team, Colton Smith and Jay Friend, headed to the NCAA Men’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships.
Smith ended up in the Sweet Sixteen. While Friend went to the Elite Eight.

SWIM AND DIVE
Championship finishes at the Wolfpack Elite GAC Invite which secured them spots to the NCAA in March.

Jim is a Pima County Sports Hall of Fame member and a member of the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame who helped our Arizona Wildcats win the NCAA championships in 1976, 1980, and 1986 under Head Coach Jerry Kendall. Jim touched many lives during his UA career, including that of current Head Coach Chip Hale.

Mona spent her life working with swimmers and for swimmers where she earned the North Texas Age Group Coach of the Year award and the ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year in Michigan. She was a 4 year Letterwinner here at UA and continued to Bear Down wherever she went.
